Access & accreditation - How do I get onto the ice?
Team accreditation takes place in the registration tent right next to the event tent:
Thursday: 1:00 pm-5:00 pm and Friday: 8:00 am-11:00 am.
Attention: all teams MUST be accredited by Friday, 11:00 am.
There, all teams receive the player wristbands that grant access to all areas. (Ice, tent and playing areas).
For spectators without ice skates, access to the ice is free of charge.
Rinks - How many ice surfaces are there?
16 rinks + 1 center court
8 of the rinks are illuminated.
Rink & goals - How is the game played?
The rink is 28 m long and 16 m wide.
The goals are 140 cm wide and 12 cm high.
The middle 80 cm of the goal is closed, leaving 30 cm open on the left and right.
Equipment - What is mandatory?
Ice hockey helmet (with either visor or cage)
Ice hockey gloves
Elbow pads and shin guards
Ice hockey skates
Captains Meeting - Mandatory appointment

Attendance is mandatory for all captains.
Player nomination - By when and how?
Per team: 4 to a maximum of 9 players.
The player list MUST be submitted to the tournament management by Friday, 11:00 am.
The same 9 nominated players must play on all days.
Late nominations only after consultation with the tournament management.
Performance groups - How are the groups allocated?
After the group stage, teams are divided into 3 groups:
- Champions Group
- Buddy Group
- Chillout Group
After the group games, the groups are made up as follows:
- the first- and second-placed teams of the preliminary round play in the Champions Group playoffs
- the third- and fourth-placed teams of all groups continue in the Buddy Group playoffs.
- the fifth- and sixth-placed teams of all 16 groups continue in the Chillout Group.
Tournament format - How does the tournament work?
Friday afternoon & Saturday morning:
Each team is assigned to one of a total of 16 groups by draw.
The group allocation is random.
In the preliminary & pre-playoff phase, each team plays six games. These take place on Friday from 1:00 pm and on Saturday morning.
The gross playing time is a maximum of 14 minutes each.
Saturday afternoon:
Playoff groups: All first- and second-placed teams of the preliminary round qualify for the Champions Group and play their playoff games there.
Of a total of 32 teams, 16 teams reach the final games.
The third- and fourth-placed teams of all groups also play three playoff games in the Buddy Group.
Here too, 16 of the 32 teams qualify for the final games.
The fifth- and sixth-placed teams of all 16 groups compete in the Chillout Group and likewise play three playoff games.
In this group as well, 16 of the 32 teams reach the final games.
The playing time in all playoff games is 12 minutes gross playing time each.
Saturday afternoon & evening:
In the Champions Group, the Buddy Group and the Chillout Group, the 16 qualified teams of each group play knockout games (round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final) to determine the winner of each group.
The final games take place on Saturday between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm. The playing time is 12 minutes gross playing time. In the event of a tie, a shootout decides.
Game schedule & info - Where can I find everything?
Via the Tournify app
The QR code will be sent in advance and contains the detailed game schedules, times, etc.
Rink cleaning - Who is responsible?
The loser of the game cleans the rink after the game ends.
Declaration of participation - What is mandatory?
The declaration of participation will be sent by e-mail in January.
It must be confirmed by all players and the captain.
Each team must nominate at least 4 and a maximum of 9 players for all three days.
Players may only be replaced in case of injury and after confirmation by the organizing committee.
Too few players - What to do?
Teams with too few players can contact the organizer.
The organizer will arrange substitute players who are happy to step in for other teams.
Arrival & parking - What do I need to know?
Car access to the tent is only temporary (max. 10 minutes).
Parking spaces must be reserved in advance.
Important: arrive in good time.
Alternatives:
Nature Park Bus for Weissensee guests. The Nature Park Bus also serves the car parks, boarding possible.
Access on foot across the ice.

Access & rules for the event area
Everyone is warmly welcome in the heated event tent, food and drinks are provided.
Attention - hockey players:
Entry to the tent in ice hockey skates only with skate guards - mandatory! or with shoes.
The heated event tent opens 1 hour before the start of play.
The tent must be cleared no later than after the last game (start of the party).

Friendly games - Are there games for eliminated teams?
Yes. On Sunday, rinks are available for friendly games for eliminated teams - in parallel with the playoffs and final games.
Side events - Are there competitions?
Skill competition & hardest shot
A dedicated area for testing technique and shooting power.
Weather & ice safety - What happens in poor conditions?
Over the past 40 years, ice hockey on Lake Weissensee has always been possible in January.
Should force majeure (snowfall, rain, etc.) allow only limited play, the tournament management will adapt the schedule and the scope of play to the conditions.
Cancellation - What happens in exceptional cases?
Should the tournament be cancelled completely unexpectedly, the participation fee will be refunded in full.
Changing room & liability
A marked area (in front of or behind the stage) is reserved for each team for a maximum of 10 people.
Neither the organizer nor the tent operator accepts liability for theft or loss.
Accommodation - What do I need to know?
Accommodation must be booked individually and in good time.
